PHILADELPHIA (AP) - The Philadelphia Soul has selected Mike Hohensee as its head coach.
Hohensee is the only person to be involved with the Arena Football League in each of its 24 years of existence as a player or coach. The move was announced Tuesday by co-owner Ron Jaworski, a former quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Soul won the AFL championship in 2008, but the league shut down after that season. It's slated to return in 2011.
Hohensee has coached 16 seasons with Washington, Albany, Anaheim, New England and Chicago. He's the third-winningest coach in AFL history, posting a career record of 140-112.
