Team Betting Notes
-- The 'under' continues to be the story through six weeks of Arena Football League play. In 37 games so far this season, the under is 24-12-1. That's a 66.7 percent clip, although scoring picked up slightly in Week 6. For instance, four games went well over triple digits, so offense is getting on track.
-- San Antonio (1-5) picked up its first straight-up victory of the season in New Orleans (1-4). The past two weeks have been night and day for the Talons. They entered Week 5 0-4 SU and ATS with four straight unders, but they are 1-1 SU, 2-0 ATS and the over has cashed in each of their past two outings. So much for trends.
-- Cleveland (5-0) remained unbeaten with a hard-fought 52-50 win on the road at Spokane (3-2). The Gladiators are making bettors glad, going a perfect 5-0 ATS this season. The 'under' has also cashed in three of their four road outings this season. The Glads are home for the next two games against Pittsburgh, whom they already beat in Week 1, and then against LA Kiss (2-3), a team they pushed aside in Week 5.
-- Speaking of Pittsburgh (3-2), while they lost on the road against Arizona (5-0), the Power has covered four straight games since their opening game setback. The Power also put the skids on a three-game under streak, going over for the first time since Week 1.
-- The Rattlers remained perfect on the season straight-up, but they fell to 4-1 ATS with their 73-69 win against the Power. Arizona also saw its first 'over' come in after starting the season with a 3-0-1 under mark.
-- Jacksonville (2-3) has alternated wins and losses this season, falling in Philadelphia (2-3) last time out. The 'under' has been the bet when dealing with the Sharks, as all five of their games have gone under the total. They host expansion Portland (0-5) next Saturday in Week 7. The 'under' has also cashed for the Thunder in each of their first five AFL games.
-- The highest scoring game of Week 6 came in a Sunshine State battle between Tampa Bay (3-3) and Orlando (4-2). Actually, it was a tie, as Pittsburgh-Arizona also had 142 points. If you like overs, then the Predators are your play. The over has cashed in five straight weeks since their Week 1 under against Jacksonville.
-- San Jose (3-3) put the skids on a three-game losing streak in Portland. However, the SaberCats have failed to cover in four straight games, and the 'under' has cashed in five of their six games this season. They travel to Los Angeles next Saturday. The Kiss has been rather predictable, as they have failed to cover in four straight games and the 'under' has connected in four of their five outings.
