CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Dylan Kwasniewski will run a full Nationwide Series schedule for Turner Motorsports this season.

The Monday announcement comes just days after Turner Motorsport said it could not field a Truck Series this year team for Jeb Burton because the sponsor had defaulted on its payment. The team can run Kwasniewski because Rockstar Energy Drink has signed on to sponsor the No. 31 Chevrolet for the 18-year-old driver.

Kwasniewski is scheduled to make his Nationwide debut in the season-opening Feb. 22 race at Daytona. Kwasniewski is the 2012 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West champion and won last year's and the 2013 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East.

Rockstar sponsored him in the East Series last year.

''I'm thankful for Harry Scott and Steve Turner for giving me this opportunity, as well as Rockstar for moving up with us,'' Kwasniewski said.

He tested in early January with Turner and new crew chief Pat Tryson, and left with a lot of confidence.

Rockstar is headquartered in Las Vegas, where Kwasniewski is from. He's been partnered with the company since 2009.

''Everyone at Rockstar is proud of the investment we have made in Dylan Kwasniewski,'' said Jason May, executive vice president marketing for Rockstar Energy Drink. ''He has demonstrated that he has the potential to become one of the best drivers on the planet and his transition into the NASCAR Nationwide Series at such a young age is proof of that.''

Kwasniewski made his Turner Motorsports debut last season and became the first driver ever to capture both the K&N East and West championships. In 14 starts, he earned six wins, eight top-fives and 10 top-10 finishes. He also won three poles and led 394 laps.

Kwasniewski is part of the NASCAR Next program, which spotlights the sport's up-and-coming stars.

''Dylan is a great kid and has unbelievable talent,'' said team co-owner Scott. ''The sky is the limit for Dylan and this Rockstar team.''
