FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) -Ryan Newman is still sore and frustrated from Talladega.
Newman said Friday that he's met with NASCAR officials since his spectacular crash with five laps remaining last weekend, and the biggest issue is to keep the cars on the ground.
Mark Martin was flipped over in a crash even after that last Sunday.
Newman says what's really frustrating is he's expressing the same concerns as he was six months ago after the last Talladega race, when Carl Edwards' car flew over Newman's hood, soared 15 feet off the ground and scraped along the safety fence on the last lap.
Martin says the crashes last week are ``no different from what we've seen for the last 15 years or more.''
