UFC Fight Night 132 Odds – Leon Edwards vs. Donald Cerrone

The main event at UFC Fight Night 132 on Saturday in Singapore has Leon Edwards taking on Donald Cerrone. These two have been talking trash in the media leading up to this fight, so it figures to be entertaining. Edwards comes into the bout with a record of 15-3, including 7-2 in the UFC, while Cerrone is 33-10, including 20-7 in the UFC. There are four fights on the main card and nine on the preliminary card. All 13 fights will be shown on UFC Fight Pass. Let’s look at the event with a focus on Edwards and Cerrone.

Leon Edwards - 210 vs. Donald Cerrone - per

Edwards is listed as about a 2-1 favorite in this fight against Cerrone. Both fighters have been running their mount leading up to this fight. Cerrone is tired of hearing about how old he is and fired back Edwards saying, "You are going home to tell your mom that an old and slow man beat you." Cerrone has 33 wins in his career, but he has lost three of his last four bouts. Edwards has 15 career wins, but he has won his last five.

Edwards said that he doesn’t have much respect for Cerrone. “I'm not really a fan," Edwards said to ESPN. "I've been watching him, but I wouldn't say I'm a fan. I feel that he's probably at the end of his career, he's almost 36 years old, he's been in many wars, stopped many times. I feel like I beat him everywhere. I'm the bigger man in there, the rangier guy. From the opening bell to the finish. I can either push the pace from the start or go all the way and drag him into deep waters and put him away there. Every fight he's been in, he's been hurt, he's been dropped so I feel like if I can touch him I can finish him."

Cerrone believes that his conditioning and stamina will be the difference in this bout. "He's going to come out hard, strong and cocky. This is a five-round fight so all the attention will be on him, it’s a big deal. He is the one fighting a legend.” Cerrone said to the media, "He will get tired, gas out and this old dog will take over and show him how to do it. I will finish him in the second or third round... I will knock him out, choke him out, make him quit."

Edwards has not been a fighter who goes the distance that often. He usually goes for the quick strike. He knocked out Seth Baczynski within eight seconds in 2015. Cerrone has also been known as a finisher, as he has 14 finishes in the UFC, tied for most all-time.

UFC Fight Night 132 Picks

Cerrone has nine knockout wins in his career and 16 wins by submission. He has 14 first round finishes. Edwards has six knockout wins and three wins by submission. He has five first round finishes. Both of these fighters are going to be throwing big shots looking for a quick finish. Cerrone has to be really careful because Edwards has the power to hurt him. Cerrone probably has the edge on the ground, but Edwards will occasionally surprise his opponents with a takedown. This fight all comes down to whether or not Cerrone can withstand the early flurry from Edwards. I lean a little bit toward Edwards, but I think the better option is to bet the rounds to go under the total.

UFC Fight Night 132 takes place on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. The main card has four fights on UFC Fight Pass, featuring Donald Cerrone taking on Leon Edwards. There are nine fights on the preliminary card, also on UFC Fight Pass.
