LONDON (AP) -Undefeated super middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe has split from promoter Frank Warren after 12 years and will be his own business manager for the final fight of his career against Roy Jones Jr.

``I am now a free agent with no contract and intend to be self-managed from now on,'' Calzaghe said. ``I am the only person who can make negotiations for my next fight.''

The 36-year-old Welshman's first fight for Warren was the 1997 victory over Carlos Christie and the last was April's triumph over Bernard Hopkins in a light heavyweight bout, after which the contract with the Sports Network expired.

``My intention is to fight Roy Jones Jr., a four-weight world champion fighter,'' Calzaghe said. ``That would be a special event for me against a legend of the sport. There are issues to be resolved with my former promoter Frank Warren and I hope they can be done so amicably.''
