MNF Prop Card

The 49ers/Cardinals game is the only one in town tonight and because of that bettors may be looking for a little side action tonight. With the NBA starting tomorrow people are getting geared up for the basketball season, but for tonight, football's the only game in town.

Larry Fitzgerald Receptions: Over 5.5 or Under 5.5

Since Kurt Warner left, Larry Fitz has known he's had to step up his game. Arguably he has done that and there is no more proof of that than when he plays the 49ers. He hasn't always had tremendous success but he does everything he can to make sure he's open all the time. In the four games vs. San Fran since Warner retired, Larry Fitz has never been targeted less than 9 times in any game and has exploded for huge games twice.

He has a combined 44 targets in that span (avg. 11/game) and has hauled in 25 of those balls. If he gets anywhere near those looks tonight, catching six passes should be child's play for one of the great receivers in the game. He is coming off a lackluster performance in his home town of Minnesota last week and will want to make a splash underneath the bright MNF lights tonight.

Take over 5.5 receptions.

Vernon Davis Receiving Yards: Over 49.5 or Under 49.5

Davis has been the go-to guy for Alex Smith in tough 3rd down spots for a few years now and with WR Mario Manningham expected back tonight, room down the seam will open up for Davis. He is coming off a game where he did not catch a single pass and with the extra rest after the Thursday game, you know he's been steaming about it for some time now.

There has also been only one year in his career where he averaged less than 10 yards per reception, so going on the averages alone, five receptions should get him to clear this mark. After a day where he was shutout, I expect he's been in the ear of Alex Smith all week to look for him more and we see him heavily involved in the offense tonight.

Take the over.
