Books adjust to L.A. moves

The Los Angeles made a lot of noise at the 2011 Winter Baseball meetings by signing Albert Pujols for $240 million and pitcher C.J. Wilson for $77.5 million. Unfortunately for the Angles, the team disappointed and failed to make the playoffs for the third straight year.
Owner Arte Moreno decided to dig into his wallet again this winter by signing outfielder Josh Hamilton to a $125 million, five-year contract. Hamilton was the 2010 American League Most Valuable Player for Texas, who made consecutive appearances in the 2010 and 2011 World Series.
After the big signing and a couple other blockbuster deals, the oddsmakers at Sportsbook.ag have adjusted their future odds.
The Angels are listed as 7/1 co-favorites with the Tigers and Dodgers to win the 2013 World Series. Detroit came up short to San Francisco in last year's World Series, so that number isn't surprising.
However, the Dodgers didn't make the playoffs last year despite a big payroll. Similar to the Angels, they too added a couple big pieces this offseason, recently signing pitchers Zack Greinke and Ryu Hyun-jin.
