Chicago Cubs (71-47) at Atlanta Braves (55-63)
Tuesday, 7:10 pm Eastern – WGN
SBG Global Opening Line: Cubs - 150 , Total 8 Under - 120
The Chicago Cubs will try and take some of their home success on the road as they begin a three-game series on Tuesday in Atlanta against the Braves. The Cubs have the best home record in the National League at 45-17 but have turned it around on the road of late, winning their last five. SBG Global reports that early MLB betting has the public taking Cubs on the Road.
The Cubs swept the Braves at Wrigley in June and outscored the Braves 20-9 in that series. The Braves are playing better of late though, winning four of their last seven and nearly swept Arizona. "To win three out of four against their pitching staff is pretty good," manager Bobby Cox said. "They've got an outstanding staff and getting three is big."
The Braves have Chipper Jones back in the lineup and he is making an immediate impact going 4-10 since returning from the DL. The Braves go with Charlie Morton on Tuesday. He is 3-5 on the season with a 5.70 ERA. He has pitched well in his last two starts including a 6-4 win over Arizona. The Cubs go with Rich Harden on Tuesday. He is 1-1 with a 2.10 ERA since joining the Cubs.
