Sportingbet.com will have Live Betting available for a number of key matchups this week as the MLB Wild Card race heats up.
The opener of a three-game set between AL West rivals the Oakland Athletics and the Los Angeles Angels on Monday night is one of four tilts MLB betting fans can watch and wager at Sportingbet.com.
Also on the Live Betting menu this week is the opener on Tuesday of a pivotal three-game series between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees, the latest installment in their storied rivalry.
The Angels, who hold a 17-game lead over the second-place Texas Rangers, are a -230 home favorite over the A’s tonight, with the over/under at 8.
Lefty Dallas Bradentics, who is 2-3 this season with a 4.41 ERA, will start for the A’s while the Angels will counter with righthander Jered Weaver, who’s 10-9 with a 4.47 ERA.
The Athletics lost 8-4 to the Seattle Mariners on Sunday as a +170 underdog. The Angels beat the Minnesota Twins 5-3 as a -160 favorite on Sunday.
On Tuesday at Yankee Stadium, The Red Sox will start righthander Tim Wakefield, who is 7-8 with a 3.67 ERA. The Yankees will counter with lefthander Andy Pettitte, who is 13-9 with a 4.17 ERA.
The start will be Wakefield’s first since Aug. 6. Boston has activated the knuckleballer from the 15-day disabled list, where he was since being sidelined with tightness behind his right shoulder.
He will be taking the place of righthander Josh Beckett, who was originally slated to pitch on Tuesday, but had his start pushed back because of numbness in his right arm.
Other games available for Live Betting this week include the Chicago Cubs at the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the Arizona Diamondbacks visiting the San Diego Padres, both on Wednesday.
