South Carolina and Vanderbilt open up the SEC part of their schedules on Thursday as the Commodores host the Gamecocks on ESPN. The offense was led by running back Mike Davis who had over 100 yards on the ground and quarterback Chris Smelley who threw two touchdown passes in relief of quarterback Tommy Beecher who suffered a concussion. It could be Smelley that gets the start on Thursday for South Carolina.
