Every gambler knows that there are some games that don’t deserve a dime of your bankroll but you bet it anyway just for the action. More often than not you wind up losing the wager because you had no clue and you were just impulse betting for a rush.
Fortunately, bettors don’t need to toss good money after bad anymore. Our friends at Bodoglife.com have recently unveiled its latest version of their Bodog Live software and it’s easily the best interface in the gaming business.

Before we show and tell the software, let’s fill you in the concept that’s been growing within the industry. Rather than picking the side or total on a matchup, users can wager on every single play as you watch the game on television LIVE!
On Sunday, the Bears and Eagles were part of the Bodog Live experience and this writer joined in on the action. Starting the second half, I jumped right in after I heard ESPN announcer Al Michaels say the Bears’ Daniel Manning is back to receive.
Most folks that follow the NFL know that Chicago’s return man Devin Hester is the best in the business, so with that being said I made my first wager on the Bears starting field position after the kickoff. I bet ‘under’ the 27.5 yard line and sure enough, Manning was tackled at the 27-yard line.
Right after that easy winner (heavy sarcasm intended), I rolled back with Bears incomplete pass and followed it up with a rushing play. Three winning tickets in a row and my confidence was growing, unfortunately a little too quick.
Odds are associated with each wager, and the people in charge at Bodog Live are pretty sharp. For example, when you’re expecting a rushing play on an obvious down, you’re going to have to pay for it in the odds.
Late in the game, the Eagles had first-and-goal from the four-yard line and everybody expected the Birds to run the football. The line on the Rushing Play was as high as minus-300 (Bet $100 to win $33) and sure enough they did run the ball. However, if Donovan McNabb would’ve passed the ball, either complete (+200) or incomplete (+200), gamblers could’ve cashed big.

Every live offensive play features three options – Complete Pass, Incomplete Pass and Rushing Play. No game would be fair without rules and they’re clearly stated on the Bodog Live website. The plays are graded based off of the NFL.com Game Center.
Along with the basic three choices, gamblers can get risky with other options too if desired. You can bet on a Turnover, which has crazy value. The odds on a turnover were as high as 50/1 in some instances last night. While it does seem like a longshot, Sunday’s battle between the Eagles and Bears featured six turnovers. If you would’ve bet the turnover on every single play available, you would’ve cashed six times.
I didn’t have the guts to take a chance on the turnover wager, but probably should’ve considering the minimum amount is only $1. The maximum amount is set at $100 and it’s safe to say that you’re not going to lose your entire bankroll, unless you hit a serious skid, which reminds me of my finish.
After my first three wagers were placed, the betting history (another user friendly feature) was showing all winners. Sure enough, I lost my next 10 in a row including my biggest bet on a field goal bet. Unfortunately, the Eagles’ David Akers dinked one off the post and it was lights out for me.
Considering the amount of unwatchable games in football, both college and pro, Bodog Live is definitely worth a look this season.
Give it a shot and get hooked like me!
