It all started after the Kansas City series 10 days ago. Pujols absolutely dominated with three home runs and 10 RBI’s, and the Cardinals averaged almost 10 runs per game in sweeping the series from their Missouri rival.
Since then though, Pujols has walked seven times in the last eight games and St. Louis lost six of those contests, not a big coincidence. Look for guys to continue to pitch around him unless other hitters in the lineup start making them pay.

Howard has been battling sinusitis and flu-like symptoms recently, but he can easily explode for double-digit homers in a month when healthy.
