Jimmie Johnson is out to make history this Sunday from Homestead-Miami Speedway. This is the final race of the NASCAR season, so get your wagers in early at BroburySports.com.
Johnson only needs to finish 25th or better to become the first driver to win four straight titles. He leads Mark Martin by 108 points and the biggest comeback on the final race was 30 points (under the current point structure).
There is a good chance that Johnson plays it safe this week and thus is overvalued at his +500 odds-to-win.
History shows this race has been dominated by Roush-Fenway since 2004. Greg Biffle had three wins from 2004-2006, with Matt Kenseth and Carl Edwards getting the last two. Edwards is still looking for his first win of the season after getting a remarkable nine last year.
Here are the favorites for Sunday’s Ford 400. It will be broadcast on ABC at 3:15 pm EST.
