I look for any game that has a +5 or more difference in returning starters. Here are the games that fit that bill from the opening weekend (Sept. 5-7). Home team in CAPS. Current spread from Sports.com also listed in parenthesis.
Akron +7 advantage in RS over PENN STATE (-29)
CAL +7 advantage in RS over Maryland (+21)
TEXAS A&M +6 advantage in RS over New Mexico (+15)
EASTERN MICHIGAN +6 advantage in RS over Army (+3.5)
Illinois +5 advantage in RS over Missouri
RUTGERS +5 advantage in RS over Cincinnati (+5)
Of those listed, I definitely like Illinois (-5) the most.
