CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Joe Burton's basket in the lane with 28 seconds remaining gave Oregon State the lead and the Beavers held on to beat Arizona 76-75 Sunday night.
Calvin Haynes had an assist on Burton's basket, then made four straight free throws in the final 9 seconds to preserve the win for the Beavers (7-6, 2-0 Pac-10).
Haynes led Oregon State with 18 points. Jared Cunningham had 17 points and Burton finished with 16.
MoMo Jones led Arizona with 20 points, but missed a shot after Burton scored. Haynes made two free throws and Kyle Fogg scored on a lay-up for the Wildcats (12-3, 1-1).
Haynes was fouled again and made two more free throws, and Derrick Williams, who had 16 points, made a 3-pointer with 0.1 seconds left.
Arizona had won four in a row.
