DENTON, Texas (AP) - Josh White scored 19 points and Tristan Thompson and Dominique Johnson added 14 each as North Texas defeated Arkansas-Little Rock 81-69 on Thursday night in the Sun Belt Conference opener for both schools.
The Mean Green (12-2) tied its best record after 14 games, set in 1952-53.
Solomon Bozeman scored 23 points and Courtney Jackson 16 for Arkansas-Little Rock (8-7).
North Texas, which won its 12th straight game against Sun Belt opposition, shot a season-high 59.6 percent (28 of 47).
A Bozeman 3-pointer cut the Mean Green's lead to 23-20 with 8:14 remaining in the first half, but those were the Trojans' last points for nearly 5 1/2 minutes. North Texas used a 12-0 run during that stretch to take control.
