MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Martino Brock scored 19 points and was one of seven South Alabama players to score in double figures in a 92-79 victory over Arkansas-Little Rock on Thursday night.
The Jaguars (12-14, 6-9 Sun Belt Conference) shot 55 percent from the field (33 of 60). Allyn Cooks had 16 points and Tim Williams had 15. Augustine Rubit and Gary Redus had 11 apiece, with all of Rubit's points coming in the first half. He also had 11 rebounds. Antione Lundy and Javier Carter each had 10.
Solomon Bozeman led Arkansas-Little Rock (15-14, 7-7) with 20 points. The Trojans' bid for a first-round bye in the upcoming conference tournament ended. Only the top two teams in each division automatically advance to the quarterfinals, and the loss kept the Trojans fourth in the West Division, 2 1/2 games back of Arkansas State and Louisiana-Lafayette with two conference games to play.
