LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Donald Boone and Rashad Allison combined for 41 points to lead Arkansas State to a 75-64 victory over Arkansas-Little Rock Saturday night.
Boone finished with 22 points and Allison 19 as the Red Wolves (12-12, 6-4) won at UALR's Stephens Center for only the third time. Arkansas State jumped to an 11-0 lead and was on top 30-22 at halftime.
In the second half, the senior guard duo increased its production. Allison scored 10 points and Boone had 15, including two big 3-pointers in the final five minutes.
The Red Wolves shot 54 percent from the field and outrebounded the Trojans 41-23. Little Rock, second in the nation in 3-point shooting at 42.4 percent, made 36 percent of its 3-point tries (5 for 14) and shot just 34.5 percent overall.
Solomon Bozeman led Arkansas-Little Rock (12-11, 4-4) with 18 points. He was 10 for 10 from the free-throw line.
