MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) - Herdie Lawrence scored 19 points to lead five Austin Peay players in double figures in an 85-67 win over Tennessee-Martin on Thursday night.
Lawrence made 7 of 9 field goal attempts, including four 3-pointers as the Governors shot 55.6 percent (30 of 54) for the game.
John Fraley added 16 points, Josh Terry had 15, Justin Blake chipped in with 11 and Chris Freeman had 10 for the Governors (11-19, 7-8 Ohio Valley Conference), who have won two in a row.
Austin Peay scored 29 points off 15 Tennessee-Martin turnovers while giving up only 11 points off its own 11 miscues. The Governors led 43-30 at halftime and built their biggest lead at 83-65 after a tip-in by Fraley with 1:28 to play.
Mike Liabo scored 27 points, Dane Smith added 16 and Corderio Maclin had 12 for the Skyhawks (4-26, 0-15), who have lost two straight.
