HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) - Darius Gatson scored three of his 13 points in overtime - a go-ahead layup with 13 seconds remaining and free throw with four seconds left - as Sam Houston State defeated UC Irvine 65-63 in a Legends Classic game on Wednesday night.

DeMarcus Gatlin had 15 points for the Bearkats (3-3).

After his overtime basket, Gatson earned a trip to the line by taking a charge against UC Irvine's Alex Young.

Adam Folker had 13 points and Will Davis II 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Anteaters (3-3). Folker's layup with 36 seconds remaining in regulation tied the game at 58-all and forced overtime.

Terrance Motley had nine points, eight rebounds and three steals off the bench for Sam Houston State.
