OGDEN, Utah (AP) - Lindsey Hughey scored a career-high 27 points as Weber State defeated Sacramento State 84-71 Thursday night.
Byron Fulton added a career-high 17 points off the bench for the Wildcats (8-7, 2-2 Big Sky). He entered the game tied for the scoring lead among Big Sky freshmen with 7.5 points per game.
Trevor Morris and Kyle Bullinger had 15 points apiece for Weber State, which shot 54 percent from the field and never trailed in the game. The Wildcats led 42-32 at halftime, then used a 14-5 run to start the second half to put the game out of reach.
Sacramento State (3-13, 0-5) lost for the seventh straight time, including three overtime defeats. John Dickson led the Hornets with 15 points, while Sultan Toles-Bey and Walter Jackson added 10 each.
