STATESBORO, Ga. (AP) - Andrew Goudelock scored 22 of his 27 points in the second half and College of Charleston held off Georgia Southern 65-61 on Wednesday night to sweep the series.
The Cougars (15-6, 8-1 Southern Conference) have won three straight games and six of their last seven.
The Eagles (4-18, 0-9), who lost the first game 92-84 on Dec. 4, 2010, overcame a nine-point deficit to tie the score at 46 with 10:04 to go.
After Charleston used a 13-4 run to rebuild its cushion with 4:52 left, Georgia Southern got within two points, at 63-61, with 44 seconds remaining.
Goudelock missed a jumper with 8 seconds on the clock, but Donavan Monroe grabbed the rebound for the Cougars and Goudelock was fouled. He hit two free throws with 5 seconds to go to seal the win and send the Eagles to their ninth straight loss.
Ben Drayton had 20 points and five steals to lead Georgia Southern.
