NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - Porter Braswell scored 19 points, including four free throws in the final 9 seconds, and Yale held off Dartmouth 79-75 in overtime Friday night.
Dartmouth scored the first four points of overtime to build a 69-65 lead, but Yale rallied with a 9-1 run for a 74-70 advantage with 26 seconds to go. The Big Green cut the lead to two points twice in the final seconds, but each time Braswell answered with a pair of free throws.
The Bulldogs (13-12, 6-5 Ivy League) swept the season series with Dartmouth for the fourth time in the past five seasons.
Greg Mangano had 16 points and 10 rebounds, Jeremiah Kreisberg chipped in 14 points and Reggie Willhite had 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Bulldogs, who beat Dartmouth for the fifth straight game.
Ronnie Dixon scored 18 points and Tyler Melville added 12 for the Big Green (5-20, 1-10), who lost their eighth in a row.
