DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Ryan Wedel made five 3-pointers and scored a career-best 29 points to lead Drake to an 87-69 victory over Evansville on Wednesday night.
The Bulldogs (13-16, 7-10 Missouri Valley) jumped to an early 14-4 lead and never looked back. They led by as many as 25 points in the second half and finished with 56.6 percent shooting from the field.
Wedel made all five of his 3-pointers in the first half and went 6 for 6 from the free-throw line in the second.
Colt Ryan led the Purple Aces (14-14, 8-9) with 24 points, making 11 of 11 free throws. Denver Holmes added 13 points and Kenneth Harris 11 for Evansville.
Rayvonte Rice chipped in with 11 points for Drake while Jordan Clarke scored 10.
