WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) - Charles Jenkins scored 22 points and Mike Moore added 20 to lead Hofstra over North Carolina-Wilmington 71-64 on Wednesday night.
Jenkins moved into sole possession of second place in the Colonial Athletic Association record book for career points behind David Robinson of Navy (2,669). Heading in, he was tied with George Mason's Carlos Yates (1981-85) with 2,420.
Jenkins was 9 of 14 from the field against the Seahawks, as Hofstra (19-10, 13-4) shot 42.6 percent for the game (23 of 54).
After going 1 of 8 from 3-point range in the first half, the Pride improved to 5 of 10 in the second, outscoring UNC Wilmington 41-34 in the final 20 minutes.
Tied at 59 with 3:49 left the Pride scored five straight to pull away, 64-59, on Moore's 3 with 1:53 remaining.
Chad Tomko had 21 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Seahawks (13-16, 7-10).
