CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) -Nick Daniels scored eight of his 24 points in overtime to lead IPFW to a 72-65 victory against Southern Utah on Saturday night.
Zack Plackemeier added 11 points and Ben Potts 10 for the Mastodons (12-13, 7-8 Summit League). Antwone Snead had seven points and 10 rebounds.
Daniels scored IPFW's first five points of the extra session before Plackemeier hit a 3-pointer to make the score 69-63 with 2:30 remaining.
Southern Utah (6-19, 2-12) forced overtime when Jake Nielson buried a 3-pointer with a second left in regulation to knot the score at 61-61.
Nielson had 20 points. Matt Hodgson added 15 points, nine rebounds and six blocks for the Thunderbirds.
