BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) - Iowa's Bryce Cartwright made a 15-foot baseline jumper with 1:27 left Saturday, helping the Hawkeyes rally for a 64-63 victory at Indiana.
Melsahn Basabe had 20 points for the Hawkeyes (10-13, 3-8 Big Ten) and Cartwright had 15.
The loss tarnished a big day for Jordan Hulls, who had a season-high 24 points. Victor Oladipo has 12 but missed a tip at the buzzer to win it for the Hoosiers (12-12, 3-8).
Iowa trailed 58-48 with 7:48 left, but the Hoosiers couldn't put it away. Instead, the Hawkeyes used three Indiana turnovers to go on a 10-0 run to tie it at 58 with 5:33 left.
Oladipo gave the Hoosiers a 63-62 lead with 1 of 2 free throws, and then Cartwright hit the 15-footer to make it 64-63.
Indiana's Verdell Jones missed a 15-foot jumper in the closing seconds just before Oladipo's errant tip.
