JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Jerron Gransberry scored 28 points, including seven in overtime and North Florida defeated Kennesaw State 90-88 in triple overtime on Sunday.
The Ospreys (11-18, 8-10 Atlantic Sun) never led in the first two overtimes, but never trailed in the third.
Down 65-56 with 3:56 to play in regulation, North Florida went on an 11-2 run, sparked by five points from Gransberry. Parker Smith made 1 of 2 free throws to cap the spurt and send it into overtime, 67-67, with 36 seconds left. Gransberry then hit a 3-pointer at the end of each of the first two overtimes to extend it.
Smith finished with 15 points, Jimmy Williams 13 and David Jeune had 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Ospreys, who clinched a spot in the conference tournament.
Markeith Cummings led the Owls (8-20, 6-12) with 27 points, while LaDaris Green had 16 points and 10 rebounds.
