OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Jermaine Mallett scored 15 points and Kyle Weems had 14 as Missouri State rallied in the second half to defeat Creighton 67-55 Tuesday night.
Will Creekmore added 12 points and Nafis Ricks 10 for the Bears (11-3, 3-0 Missouri Valley), who won their fifth straight and for the ninth time in 10 games.
Doug McDermott scored 17 points to lead the Bluejays (10-5, 2-1), who had their six-game winning streak snapped. Antoine Young added 14.
Creighton led by 11 early in the second half but Missouri State put together an 11-2 run to take a 44-42 lead with 12:55 to play. After the Bluejays tied it at 44 with two free throws, the Bears scored eight straight points led the rest of the way.
Missouri State was 17 of 25 from the field after halftime, while Creighton was just 7 of 23.
The Bluejays ended the first half with a 10-0 run for a 29-20 lead.
