POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) - Brian Qvale had 19 points and 10 rebounds Thursday night to lead Montana past Idaho State 75-65.
Art Steward scored 15 points, Will Cherry had 14 points and five assists and Derek Selvig scored 10 points for the Grizzlies (14-5, 6-1 Big Sky), who shot 53 percent from the field.
The game was tied 10 times, but Montana outscored the hosts 14-4 down the stretch, going ahead to stay at 63-61 with 3:40 to play on Cherry's layup. Selvig's 3-pointer from the top of the arc with 1:56 left made it 70-64 Grizzlies.
Qvale scored 14 of his points in the second half.
Broderick Gilchrest led the Bengals (5-13, 1-5) with 19 points. Deividas Busma had 11 points, 10 rebounds and three blocked shots for Idaho State.
Phyllip Taylor scored 16 points for the Bengals but was 0 for 5 from 3-point range. Reserve Kenny McGowen added 12 points.
