RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) - Kareem Nitoto scored 19 points and Javon Borum added 17 as UC Riverside defeated Montana State 78-67 Sunday.

Nitoto was 5 of 5 from 3-point range, and Kevin Bradshaw added 10 points for the Highlanders (4-6), who won their 14th straight at home against a nonconference opponent.

Bobby Howard scored 21 points to lead the Bobcats (6-5), who fell to 0-5 on the road. Rod Singleton added 14 points, and Erik Rush had 11.

UC Riverside led 37-35 at halftime before pulling away in the second half. The Highlanders shot 54.2 percent and limited Montana State to 38.3 percent shooting.
