PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Charles Odum scored 16 points off the bench to lead Portland State to a 69-64 come-from-behind victory over Montana State on Saturday night.
Phillip Thomas had 14 points for the Vikings (13-15, 5-10 Big Sky) and Melvin Jones added 10 points in Portland State's season finale.
Danny Piepoli led Montana State (12-17, 6-9) with 19 points. Bobby Howard had 15 points for the Bobcats, who will play in the Big Sky tournament beginning next Saturday.
Portland State trailed 57-49 with 6:15 remaining, but scored the next nine points, taking a 58-57 lead on Chehales Tapscott's lay-in with 2:53 to play. Montana State regained the lead on a jumper by Piepoli, but the Vikings went back in front and scored seven in a row, capped by Chris Harriel's two free throws with 28 seconds left.
Portland State shot 41 percent while the Bobcats made 39 percent of their outside shots.
