NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Kenny Moore scored 19 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to help Tennessee State earn a comeback victory over Morehead State 70-64 on Sunday night.
The Tigers (5-6, 2-1 Ohio Valley Conference) trailed 57-53 with 1:27 remaining in regulation, but two free throws from Wil Peters and a jumper from Patrick Miller with 52 seconds left tied the score at 57.
Moore broke a 62-62 tie with 1:36 left in overtime after nailing a 3-pointer and followed that with a free throw to extend Tennessee State's lead to 66-62 with 53 seconds to play.
The Tigers made 4 of 4 from the free-throw line the rest of the way to post their fourth consecutive victory after losing five straight.
Morehead State (6-5, 2-1) was led by Kenneth Faried, who grabbed a game-high 17 rebounds and scored 15 points.
Tennessee State shot 61.9 percent in the second half (13 of 21) to force overtime.
