After the Purple Eagles (3-12, 0-3) got on the board on a free throw by Kashief Edwards for a 1-0 lead, Barrow hit a jumper and the Stags wouldn't trail the rest of the way.

The Stags, whose defense held an opponent to under 20 points in the first half for the fifth time this season, limited Niagara to 4-of-25 shooting in the opening 20 minutes.

Fairfield outrebounded the Purple Eagles 40-29 as Niagara shot just 27.8 percent for the game (15 of 54).

Kashief Edwards scored 15 points to lead the Purple Eagles, who lost their fourth straight.
