NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -Cade Davis scored 25 points and Tony Crocker added 24 points and 10 rebounds for his fourth double-double as Oklahoma held off a late surge by Northern Colorado for an 80-79 victory on Saturday.
Davis had a career-high six 3-pointers to help the Sooners (8-3) eliminate an 11-point deficit in the first half and made a steal to end the game when the Bears (9-3) were trying to get upcourt for a potential winning shot.
After Davis' hot start, Crocker took over in the second half as Oklahoma built a double-digit lead. But the Bears nearly dug their way out of a 10-point hole in the final two minutes.
Devon Beitzel retrieved the ball after Tommy Mason-Griffin missed a free throw with 5.6 seconds left, but Davis intercepted his outlet pass to finish the game.
