ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - Darius Morris scored 18 points, and Michigan went on a 20-6 run at the start of the second half to pull away for a 69-51 victory over Oakland, Mich., on Saturday.
The Golden Grizzlies (6-6) were hoping for another upset after beating No. 7 Tennessee earlier in the week, but the Wolverines (9-2) swarmed center Keith Benson, limiting him to 11 points after he scored 26 against the Volunteers.
Oakland, which is located in Rochester, Mich., nearly upset No. 14 Michigan State a week ago but lost by a point.
Michigan led 29-21 after the first half, then scored the first seven points of the second. A 3-pointer by Tim Hardaway Jr. made it 44-24, and the Wolverines eventually led 49-27 after a basket by Zack Novak.
The Golden Grizzlies cut the deficit to 10 but Michigan held them at bay.
