GREELEY, Colo. (AP) - Tate Unruh scored 19 points to lead Northern Colorado over Portland State 67-50 Thursday night, snapping a five-game losing streak.
Unruh was 5 of 6 from 3-point range. Paul Garnica scored 12 points, and Derrick Barden and Connor Osborne had nine rebounds each for the Bears (4-11, 2-5 Big Sky).
Northern Colorado never trailed in the game and led 47-22 at halftime. The Bears shot 47.2 percent from the field for the game, while the Vikings shot 33.9 percent. The Vikings outrebounded the Bears 36-34.
Aaron Moore led Portland State with nine points. Lamont Prosser came off the bench to score six points and make a team-high eight rebounds for the Vikings (5-9, 3-4).
Renado Parker, Portland State's leading scorer, only played three minutes due to a tender ankle.
