Date: February 09, 2011 7:00 PM EDT

WASHINGTON (AP) - Justin Harper scored 20 points, including the go-ahead basket with 43.5 seconds remaining, as Richmond put away George Washington 69-65 on Wednesday night.

The Spiders (19-6, 8-2 Atlantic 10 Conference) closed the game on a 12-4 run. Harper accounted for six critical points during the stretch, none bigger than his spin move on the block for a layup that gave Richmond a 67-65 edge.

George Washington (12-12, 5-5), which has dropped six of seven, was led by Taylor and Nemanja Mikic's 15 points apiece.
