OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Marshall Henderson scored 18 points, including consecutive 3-point shots in a decisive 14-2 surge in the final seven minutes, to lift Mississippi to an 80-67 win over Rutgers.

Ole Miss (6-0) snapped a 55-55 tie with the winning outburst, and the Rebels placed five players in double figures, highlighted by Murphy Holloway with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Reginald Buckner scored 14 points, Ladarius White had 13 and Jarvis Summers added 12.

Myles Mack had 15 points for Rutgers (4-2), which led 36-32 at halftime. Dan Miller scored 14 points and Eli Carter added 10 for the Scarlet Knights.

Ole Miss shot better from the field, 43.8 percent (28 of 64), than from the free-throw line, 43.6 percent (17 of 39). Rutgers was 22 of 54 from the field and 18 of 26 from the free-throw line.

Rutgers raced to a 12-2 lead in the opening five minutes, highlighted by a pair of baskets from Mack. The Scarlet Knights maintained the first-half advantage as Mack had 10 points, three rebounds and a pair of assists.

The Rebels managed only 6 of 21 from the free-throw stripe in the first half, including a pair of stretches of five consecutive misses. Ole Miss stayed within striking distance by forcing eight turnovers and the inside play from Holloway and Buckner.

The clubs exchanged leads until the decisive rally in the final seven minutes. The surge began with Henderson connecting on consecutive 3-point shots and an assist to Reginald Buckner to start a three-point play.

White finished the 14-2 run with a 3-point shot for a 69-57 lead with 5:28 left. The Rebels were only 7 of 23 from 3-point range, including a 3-of-4 performance from White.

Rutgers never closed within double digits again. The Scarlet Knights had only four baskets in the final seven minutes as Carter, who averages 18 points per game, finished 1 of 12 from the field and misfired on six 3-point attempts.

Ole Miss improved to 58-2 in non-conference home games with the victory and marked the first home win in school history over a Big East Conference team.
