WASHINGTON (AP) - Matthew Wright scored a career-high 18 points to help St. Bonaventure defeat George Washington 62-49 on Saturday.
Andrew Nicholson scored all 13 of his points in the second half as the Bonnies (10-8, 2-3 Atlantic 10 Conference) ended a three-game skid and won their first conference road game.
Demitrius Conger added 12 points in St. Bonaventure's first win at George Washington since Jan. 11, 1989, snapping a 14-game streak.
David Pellom scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Colonials (10-9, 3-2), who lost their third straight game and failed to score 50 points for the second time this season.
Dwayne Smith added 12 points for George Washington, which shot 30.8 percent from the floor (16 of 52), including 2 of 13 from 3-point range.
Wright hit 6 of 7 shots, including 3 of 4 from 3-point range, and Nicholson hit all five of his field-goal attempts.
