SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) -Omar Samhan scored 24 points, had nine rebounds and blocked three shots to lead Saint Mary's past Santa Clara 80-72 Sunday night.

Ben Allen added 16 points and eight rebounds for the Gaels (15-2, 2-0 West Coast Conference), who won their fifth straight and for the 13th time in 14 games. Matthew Dellavedova had 13 points and a season-high nine assists. Clint Steindl had nine points and a career-high nine rebounds.

Robert Smith scored 23 points to lead the Broncos (8-11, 0-2 WCC), who lost their third in a row. Marc Trasolini added 18 points.

Saint Mary's led 41-27 at halftime.
