PEORIA, Ill. (AP) -Tony Freeman scored 23 points and Southern Illinois outscored Bradley 14-2 in the final minute and a half to win 86-81 Friday night.
Kevin Dillard added 17 points for the Salukis (9-2, 2-0 Missouri Valley), Justin Bocot 16 and Carlton Fay 14.
Bradley's Taylor Brown led all scorers with 25 points. Adam Warren had 24 points, and Will Egolf posted a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Braves (6-6, 1-1).
Down 49-36 at intermission, the Salukis exploded for a 50-32 margin in the second half.
Bradley led 79-72 with 1:44 left after Egolf's jumper.
But Dillard hit a 3-pointer with 1:28 to go, and the Braves turned the ball over on three straight possessions, allowing the Salukis to finally claim the lead on Freeman's 3-pointer with 27 seconds left.
Bradley's Sam Maniscalco responded with a basket, but SIU closed it out with four more free throws.
