EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) - Colt Ryan scored 23 points and keyed a second-half run that led Evansville past Southern Illinois 66-49 on Saturday night.
Ryan had a pair of 3-pointers early in the second half during an 11-0 Evansville run that ended with the Purple Aces ahead 29-23. Evansville (12-9, 6-5 Missouri Valley) kept the lead after that.
Lewis Jones scored 10 points for the Purple Aces, who have won three in a row.
Carlton Fay scored 18 points to lead Southern Illinois (10-12, 4-7), which has lost five of its last six games. The Salukis led 21-18 at halftime.
There were 56 fouls called in the contest, 31 against Southern Illinois, and the teams attempted 67 free throws, making 45.
