CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tyshwan Edmondson led four Austin Peay players in double figures with 16 points, helping the Governors break a two-game losing streak in an 82-53 rout of Tennessee-Martin Thursday night.
John Fraley had 14 points, Will Triggs 12 and Melvin Baker 10 for Austin Peay (15-9, 9-3 Ohio Valley Conference).
Runs of 11-0 and 14-0 in the first half helped the Governors dominate from the outset. Austin Peay led 41-18 at halftime and prevented any hopes of a Tennessee-Martin comeback by shooting 73.9 percent from the field in the second half (17 of 23). The Governors led by as many as 31 points.
Troy King, who gave the Skyhawks (8-16, 3-9) a brief lead with the game's opening basket, had 20 points to lead Tennessee-Martin. Mike Liabo added 19 points.
Austin Peay controlled the boards, outrebounding the Skyhawks 35-25 as Fraley and Triggs grabbed seven rebounds apiece.
