LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Amath M'Baye scored a career-high 21 points as Wyoming defeated TCU 77-67 on Saturday to snap an eight-game losing streak and hand Fred Langley his first Division I head coaching victory.
Langley improved to 1-1 after taking over for Heath Schroyer, who was fired Monday.
Desmar Jackson added 15 and Francisco Cruz 12 for the Cowboys (9-16, 2-9 Mountain West).
J.R. Cadot scored 16, while Garlon Green and Greg Hill had 12 apiece for the Horned Frogs (10-16, 1-10), who lost their eighth in a row.
Wyoming went up 49-40 on a dunk by Jackson with 11:42 left. The Horned Frogs drew within 52-51 on a layup by Nikola Cerina at the 9:17 mark, but the Cowboys never surrendered the lead.
Cruz scored five straight points, and Djibril Thiam turned a steal into a layup that made it 64-55 with 6:14 left.
