INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Shelvin Mack scored 16 points to lead Butler to a 76-59 victory over Valparaiso on Saturday.
Ronald Nored and Shawn Vanzant each added 11 points for the Bulldogs (10-4, 2-0 Horizon), who have won six straight after dropping three of four.
Cory Johnson and Jay Harris had 14 points apiece for the Crusaders (10-5, 2-1), who lost for the first time in five games.
Butler took control of this one early, scoring the first six points and building a 21-5 lead 9 1/2 minutes into the game. The Bulldogs led 36-25 at halftime and by 19 in the second half.
Valparaiso put together a 15-5 run - fueled by 12 points from Harris - to cut the lead to 53-48 with 8:08 to play but never got any closer.
Butler scored 24 points off 16 Valparaiso turnovers and outrebounded the Crusaders 31-21.
