GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - Bryquis Perine scored 20 points, including a basket with 11 seconds remaining in overtime, and Wisconsin-Green Bay defeated Valparaiso 81-80 on Monday night.
Alec Brown had 22 points and 12 rebounds for the Phoenix (13-16, 7-9), who ended a five-game losing streak and kept Valparaiso (20-9, 11-5) from pulling into a tie with Cleveland State for the Horizon League lead. Cleveland State is 12-4 in conference play with two games remaining.
Jarvis Williams scored 14 points and Rahmon Fletcher had 13 points and five assists for Wisconsin-Green Bay, which held a 16-point lead in the first half.
Brandon Wood led the Crusaders with 24 points. Ryan Broekhoff scored 20 and was 5 for 6 from 3-point range. His last 3 put Valparaiso ahead 80-78 with 33 seconds left in overtime, but Perine made a free throw and later scored the winner.
