SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) - Klay Thompson hit a key 3-pointer in regulation and scored seven of his 23 points in overtime as Washington State rallied from a 10-point second-half deficit to beat Santa Clara 85-79 Sunday night.
DeAngelo Casto scored five of his 15 points in the extra period for the Cougars (8-1), who won their third straight. He also had 10 rebounds.
Marcus Capers made all five of his shots and scored a season-high 14 points. Reggie Moore scored a season-high 15 points in his fourth game back from a wrist injury.
Kevin Foster scored a season-high 29 points for the Broncos (6-6), who lost at home for the second time in seven games. Marc Trasolini had 18 points and Evan Roquemore 16.
Thompson, the Pac-10's leading scorer, struggled for most of the night but hit a 3-pointer with 15 seconds remaining in regulation to tie it at 71.
