DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Aaron Ellis scored 12 points and pulled down seven rebounds to lead Wichita State past Drake 68-54 on Saturday night.
The Shockers (16-3, 6-1 Missouri Valley) led 32-27 at halftime after shooting 53.8 percent from the field in the first half.
The Bulldogs (7-11, 2-5) began the second half with a 7-3 run to cut the lead to 35-34, but the Shockers answered by scoring 10 straight points to put the game out of reach.
Rayvonte Rice led the Bulldogs with 11 points while Ben Simons scored 10.
Demetric Williams, who went 3 for 3 from long distance, finished with 11 points for Wichita State and David Kyles added 10 points. J.T. Durley pulled down 10 rebounds for the Shockers.
